    • Colonies/Colonial Life: What were the similarities and differences among the colonies in North America?

 

  • Elections- Mini Unit

    • Why is it important to be an active and informed United States citizen?

 

  • The American Revolution

    • Toward Independence: When is it necessary for citizens to rebel against their government?

    • The Declaration of Independence: What basic ideas about government are in the Declaration of Independence?

    • The American Revolution: How did specific individuals, battles, and resources shape the outcome of the revolution?

 

  • Forming a New Nation

    • Creating the Constitution: What shaped the Founders’ basic ideas about government?

    • The Constitution: A More Perfect Union: How does the Constitution outline the American distribution of power?

    • The Bill of Rights: Why is it important for individual freedoms to be protected by the U.S. Constitution?
